A bridge between education and the labor market

During the entrance exam, I had chosen both mathematics and language, and I was able to pass in both. After that, I became a student of English language and literature at Khwarazmi University (Tehran teacher training). I started teaching the language in the second semester of my bachelor’s degree, but schools were very difficult to give classes to an inexperienced teacher. I sent my resume to all the schools around my house and one of them accepted my request to teach language to children. I will never forget the feeling and stress of the day I stepped into the classroom for the first time as a teacher.

About me

Hello, I am Maeda. In this section, I am writing about myself so that you can get to know me and my work history.
I was born on March 20, 1980. Our fourth grade elementary school held extracurricular English classes, but because I joined that school in the middle of the school year, my language level was lower than the other children; for this reason, I did not like Wednesdays and attending language classes. To be honest, our teacher also spoke English throughout the class and I did not understand anything. When my mother noticed this problem, I became a free listener participant in language classes and gradually I liked English.
It passed and during high school, I became so interested in English that I enrolled in a school near my house called “Ayandeh” School; As far as I can remember, I was always the best student in my class and was able to get a language diploma in two years, because the school allowed its good students to advance to the next semester by passing an exam instead of having to pass the entire semester. With this motivation, I also read the books in advance and at the end of the semester, after getting the best grade and participating in an oral interview, I would advance to the next two semesters.

It was the summer of 2010 when, for the first time in my life, my students called me “Miss Maeda,” and I fell in love with the job. Now, the students in that class are ten years older and must be around nineteen.

After that, I worked in various schools and in 2013, I was accepted to the Master’s degree program in North American Studies at the University of Tehran. In the meantime, I also started teaching IELTS at the University of Tehran. After graduation, I was able to start my own independent business by renting a classroom near the Revolution Square.
I have been teaching languages independently since 2015. I used to suffer from the stress of attending English classes in the fourth grade of elementary school, but now I love this job and I know what a fundamental and important role a teacher plays in people’s minds and hearts. I have always tried to be a responsible and well-mannered teacher in my professional life so that children feel good about me and become interested in English.
I hope I can make you, the reader of this text, interested in English.
